As soon as you turn it on, it works continuously, resulting in it shutting off on the 3rd day of operation. It is exposed to the sun facing south, but obviously the solar panel does not charge the rechargeable battery. The sound it makes is in the audible spectrum and is somewhat annoying. Overall, very disappointing!!!!!
