The armor of God is worn by His saints. The rule of life for the saints is the Gospel. Their word—the word of their lips, mind, and heart—is the word of God; it is the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. With this spiritual sword, they shatter the swirling fiery swords of the enemies—the demonic thoughts and demonic fantasies—thus preventing them from piercing their souls.

With continuous vigilance and sobriety, all true servants of God monitor their mind and heart. Enlightened by divine grace, they perceive from afar the invisible thieves and murderers when they approach them, and they see within themselves, as in a mirror, the dark faces of the invisible Ethiopians.
