Unacceptable design. There is a lot of 'play', a large gap in the slots, resulting in new thin HDs (SG Barracuda 4T) floating in their position. This means that with minimal vibrations, the disk moves back and forth. The user cannot tell if the disk is properly seated in its place. The LEDs on the side are just for show; they light up even when the disk is not detected in Windows. The SATA connectors inside do not make good contact; the only way for it to work is to fix the disks in a position where they work using paper, etc. But many times, even the older, thicker HDs do not work, and the only solution is re-seating after many attempts, which means there is a contact problem at the connector.
I had the Thermaltake for many years without any problems, which also had an Eject button, as it should. Its price is four times that of the LC, but you don't play around with many TBs of data. It will be returned.

I have had it for over 5-6 years. I have made countless clones to HDD, it is a bit slow but I imagine the disks are to blame; with SSD it is much faster. It has never done a bad job, it wrote everything correctly for me

Actually it's pretty fine. A bit flimsy and lightweight maybe? Generally it did the job pretty well and the duplicate drive function was working nicely until I tried to move house and didn't take the drives out during transportation. It got squeezed a bit and now it's totally dead. Not really the fault of a cheap plastic device but more my fault for NOT treating it for what it is in order to keep it alive during a dangerous moment.

Good for the money, but if you take out a disc, both disconnect, and it takes years to be detected again

It has worked flawlessly as storage for Plex (without much use). HOWEVER, IT DOES NOT SUPPORT two 3.5 drives. One 2.5 and one 3.5 (both NTFS) it tolerates. I suppose it has to do with the power it needs? I don't know... I haven't found a way to overcome it

It does its job exactly as described in its features, nothing less - nothing more

To avoid disconnection or recognition issues:

After shutting down the computer, then close the docking.

I bought it for raid... when I connect two drives together in NTFS, one of the drives is not recognized. In Linux, it destroys the file system. If you put them one by one, it works. Be careful!

I haven't had it for long.. I have mirrored it several times in the same capacity (3TB) and also in different capacities (3TB -> 4TB & 4TB -> 6TB) without any problems.. I can't judge the time it took to complete the process, but I think it was relatively fast - considering the capacity.

I haven't had it for long enough to identify any negative points, but so far I see it as EXCELLENT. I mainly bought it for cloning (it has ready-made software and does everything on its own), but since I installed SSDs in all my machines, I had some spare hard drives, so in this particular one, a 2.5" and a 3.5" are permanently installed, so I have unlimited storage space. In conclusion, it's worth its money

Very affordable, easy to use and reliable with fast data transfer during disk cloning without a computer. You just press a button. It would be nice if it also had a built-in card reader.

With Acronis, I have easily cloned several disks from laptops or desktop computers, but not as quickly. Maybe because I didn't always connect it to usb3. However, the job was flawless in the end.

It is the beginning to say that it is okay or that it has a problem.
However, during the connection and in terms of today's functioning, it works fine.

The docking station is awesome! You can easily connect HDD and SSD hard drives, both 2.5 inches and 3.5 inches, with SATA connection. It also has Hot Swap function, so you can change drives while your computer is on. Fast data transfer with USB 3.0 and lights that show the status of the drives. You can also clone drives with a single press, and that's why I bought it. It is really convenient and user-friendly. I bought mine to save a dying hard drive that my computer couldn't even read, but luckily, thanks to the dock, I was able to save my files. I highly recommend it!

It does what it's supposed to. I have put over 10 2.5" and 3.5" disks for backup without any problem. I also tried playing games from a disk that is on it and everything works fine. Reasonable price for a good product.

First of all, I have to say that I bought it to connect it to my television. I had a single dock until today and I wanted to have two disks on it. Unfortunately, it didn't work. While it plays flawlessly when connected to the computer via USB and recognizes any disk I put in, when I connect it to the television, it doesn't display anything, no disk at all, as if it hasn't been connected at all. That's why I gave it a rating of 3 stars, as it didn't do its job for me.

Very good purchase. As construction, it doesn't say anything special since it is made of lightweight plastic, but it does its job perfectly. The discs are placed with great ease and the connection is immediate! I was very satisfied with this particular purchase.

I have it for 2 years, I have two connected HDDs on top and the only thing I can notice as a problem is the absence of a front start/stop button. Very good functionality, for backup or disk cloning.

It does what it promises. However, I made a mistake because I thought I would use the disk copying feature, but in the end, I prefer to do it with software and one disk at a time. So maybe consider getting one with a single case instead of two, for less money.

The first time it worked well. I wrote files and it read them well.
The next day when I opened it, there were folders that had been emptied!
I made the mistake of doing a scandisk with the hard drive on the docking station instead of connecting it differently, and as soon as it finished, all the files were missing from all the folders! The scandisk had created a hidden folder "FOUND.000" with files with random names that had no useful data...

I would have lost all the data if I didn't have a backup! The store's service told me that it works well!!!

I don't know if I got a defective product, but either way, if anyone uses it, they should have a backup, at least in the beginning.

Also, as for construction, it is not sturdy at all, but that may not matter if someone has it somewhere stationary and doesn't touch it.

Reads hard drives, seems to be of good quality construction. The direct copy option from hard drive to hard drive is incredibly useful.

I bought it because of the very good reviews. Indeed, so far it does its job well. Good speeds and recognition of two 4TB disks. Just if the disks are new, go to the disk management of Windows and format them. Time will tell for any potential defects.

Perfect, it has solved my hands, file transfer backup, etc. I have tried disks up to 2 TB and it works great. I have also cloned my system disk and it works perfectly. I haven't tried cloning with 2 disks simultaneously yet to know

For garbage! Whenever I try to transfer files of 20gb and above, it freezes, or when I try to transfer multiple files at once, it freezes again. The issue is that it freezes even when safely ejecting, resulting in having to force close it. When you do this 2-3 times, you end up losing the files on the hard drive. I lost my files twice and it took me 2 days to find a program to recover some of the files, not all of them. We're talking about 1tb of files. I exchanged it at the store (they were familiar with the problem) but the second one I got had the same issue. Now, for cases, docking stations, and anything related to hard drives, I only trust icy box.

I have it too for about a year. It really does the job, and it is a solution for those of us who have hard drives sitting idle at home. The copying speeds are great (I get around 15-20 Mb/s, which I find satisfactory, I don't know how much the type of drives you use affects it). I have tried it with old 3.5'' hard drives (one was really old, 80 GB), with more modern 2.5'' and 3.5'' drives, with SSDs. No problem at all, not even the switch at the back is an issue, you can easily reach it. Recommended...
