Description & Specifications

Today, there is greater social understanding and acceptance of the educational needs of children with special needs, and education is in an era of continuous changes and adaptations to new perceptions.

The integration and creation of better opportunities, chances, and conditions for the education of children with special educational needs is the ultimate goal of special education. According to the institutional framework for special education, there is the possibility of having an integration program for blind students in "regular" schools.

The purpose and goals of their education align with the purpose and goals of sighted students. Only the teaching materials and methods of instruction change. By using their remaining senses and with appropriate assistance from a special educator, blind students can acquire the necessary knowledge, develop their skills, and shape their personalities just like their sighted classmates.

They read and write using the "braille system," which is a tactile reading and writing system named after Louis Braille, who invented it. For the "support" of blind children within the educational process, there are special teaching and visual aids, such as books written in braille, special braille typewriters, computers with suitably adapted programs, and many other aids.
