Specifications

Compatibility

Use
Desktop, NAS, Server

Use

NAS

Disks for use in NAS (Network-Attached Storage) systems that provide access to data from all devices on a network. They are designed for continuous operation with other such disks in RAID configurations to protect data from failures.

Product Details

Capacity
2000 GB

Capacity

The amount of data that a hard disk can store. 2TB and 4TB are the golden ratio of cost and capacity. For simple use, 1TB is likely sufficient. For reference, a 1TB hard disk can hold approximately 250,000 photos taken with a 12MP camera or 250 movies.
Communication Protocol
SATA III

Communication Protocol

Hard drives communicate with the computer through a protocol.

There are two protocols for HDD hard drives, SATA (for simple use) and SAS (high reliability for corporate use).

SATA III

A modern hard disk connection standard that offers twice the maximum speed compared to SATA II.

The majority of hard disks use this standard.

The motherboard must support it for the disk to operate at its maximum potential.

Performance

RPM
7200 rpm

RPM

The most important feature along with capacity is that the faster the rotation speed of a hard disk, the faster the access and storage of data it can provide.

7200
The most popular HDD hard drives, about 33% faster than 5400. Suitable for all uses such as installing programs and games. For installing the operating system, programs, and games, SSD are even faster and remain the best choice.
Cache size
64 MB

Cache size

Intermediate temporary memory between the disk and the computer, allowing the hard disk to provide faster and more immediate access to data. It does not have any particular benefit for the average user.

Dimensions

Form Factor
3.5 "

Form Factor

The size of the HDD hard drive.

3.5
The classic size of a desktop computer hard disk drive (HDD).
