As a lover of the classic Pokémon series pattern, the absence of gyms and the presence of Totem pokemons made a very bad impression on me. The graphics of the game are good, but I didn't like the Alola region. The gameplay for me is mediocre, but it is somewhat saved by the good story. Finally, I believe that fans of the classic Pokémon series pattern will not like the game.

The best from the Pokemon series, awesome story, totem battles are better than gym battles, I wrote it perfectly. Bravo to Nintendo for this, it's worth every euro.

A fresh version of the classic pattern of Pokemon games. Elimination of gyms and HMs, introduction of Z moves and several new Pokemon. The Alola region is very beautiful and original, while the Alolan Forms of Kanto Pokemon added a pleasant touch, as the Pokemon of the 7th generation are not as exciting. Worth it for Pokemon lovers, although personally I preferred XY and Kalos more.

The game is terrible. I loved Pokémon until the 5th generation, but now the Pokémon are not as well-designed as they were in 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. It may have good graphics for a Nintendo game, but graphics are not the only thing that matters!

I consider that the Steelbook Edition, although fancy, is not worth the extra price increase. It is simply a metallic substitute for the plastic case with nice artwork, which most likely will never be used. Nevertheless, I will give the game a perfect score because it is all beautifully designed and the gameplay was flawless as they did not cancel out what they had done in previous games and added many extras. The story was also quite long, which made it even more enjoyable for me. The only thing they should stop doing is making it too easy for you by giving you a lot of help from the very beginning.

*In other words, the game is worth it, the steelbook is not.

The best entry in the POKEMON series so far!

On the positive side, Alola (although I had some reservations) is a beautiful place. I spent so many hours just exploring the area. The landscapes make you want to sit and admire them for the first time.
Sound? Incredible (at least on the New3dsXL).
Graphics that reach perfection.
New features that have already been mentioned in the above comments (rotom dex, pokepelago, etc.)
And most importantly, in my subjective opinion: it manages to combine the new pokemon with the existing ones in a way that preserves the TRADITION (in the first grass areas, you find 2-3 new pokemon, but also caterpie, Pichu, Growlithe, Ledyba, Monkey, etc.)
Buy it with your eyes closed.

Amazing game!!! I've been playing Pokemon since 2007 and as an experienced and competitive player, I can say that it is simply a masterpiece! Where do I start? The new Alola region is full of exploration, the graphics are great, and there are new features like Pokemon Refresh, Festival Plaza, Poke Pelago, Rotom Pokedex, and the fact that you no longer need HM moves that take up space. The game is truly outstanding for both new players and hardcore fans of the series. For those who say it's relatively easy, they are still at the beginning of the game. Wait until you see how powerful the Totem Pokemon (replacing gym leaders) are, your eyes will be amazed. Okay, it's not the most difficult Pokemon game, but it's definitely more demanding than X and Y and ORAS. I haven't gotten bored of it at all, I'm close to finishing it since the game is huge, with 22 hours of gameplay for experienced players. It's simply a must-have for fans of the series and for regular 3DS players.

Very nice game for 3ds with new features, good graphics, entertaining gameplay and after game. I highly recommend it for children but also for adults. Now you don't need to waste move slots to teach your Pokemon tms, as there is the poke-ride that solves this problem for you. The new Pokemon are quite numerous and some of them are very good for competitive battles. It is one of the best Pokemon games I have ever played. The only downside I would say is the difficulty level of the game: it is too easy and the evil team (Team Skull) is very useless compared to the old ones... But other than that, a very nice game!

I have to say that this specific Pokemon cassette is not as I expected. I would recommend for everyone else who wants to play a decent RPG to start with Ricochet or Moon, which are much better
