It was purchased in order to be able to charge my phone when I am in a place that has a micro USB charger, such as in a café or at a friend's house where there is no Type-C cable. For better or worse, currently there is a greater chance of finding someone with a micro USB cable than a Type-C one, although this is starting to change over time.
So practically, I wanted the adapter to have it with me in my wallet (or on my keys if there was a slot so I could use it as a keychain), so that I can charge my phone at any moment wherever I am.
It has not disappointed me so far, neither in charging nor in file transfer, both with a PC and with a flash drive (it supports OTG). A very good and value for money choice.
