Description

Experience the ultimate espionage adventure with Metal Gear Solid V: The Definitive Experience for PS4. This complete package includes the introductory Ground Zeroes, the epic The Phantom Pain, as well as Metal Gear Online. With all DLC integrated directly on the disc, you will enjoy the full story of Big Boss in a vast open world. The masterpiece by Hideo Kojima offers freedom of movement, strategic stealth action, and an immersive cinematic narrative that redefines the genre.

The Complete Metal Gear Solid V Collection

The Definitive Experience is the ultimate edition of the fifth chapter in the legendary series. It includes both Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes and the award-winning Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain in a single package. Players have the opportunity to experience the full journey of Punished "Venom" Snake, from the rescue mission in Cuba to the quest for revenge in Afghanistan and Africa, offering hundreds of hours of gameplay with the most advanced gameplay in the series.

Ground Zeroes: The Introduction to the Storm

Begin your adventure with Ground Zeroes, which serves as the prologue to the events of the main game. As Big Boss, you must infiltrate a heavily guarded military base under harsh weather conditions to rescue allies. Despite its short length, it introduces players to the new stealth mechanics and the freedom to approach objectives, laying the groundwork for the epic sequel that follows.

The Phantom Pain: A Vast Open World

The Phantom Pain takes the action to vast open-world environments, where your strategy is the key to success. Using the Fox Engine, the game delivers stunning graphics and realistic day and night cycles that directly affect enemy behavior. Whether you choose silent infiltration or a frontal assault with heavy weapons, the game adapts to your style, offering unprecedented freedom of choice in every mission.

Full DLC Pack and Online Action

This edition is truly the "definitive" one, as it includes all the DLC from both titles integrated into the content, without requiring any additional downloads. From extra costumes and weapons to expansion packs for Metal Gear Online, the experience is complete from the very first moment. Metal Gear Online allows you to test your espionage skills against other players, creating your own team and dominating the battlefields.

Mother Base Management

Beyond the action on the field, Metal Gear Solid V features a deep management system for the Mother Base. Gather resources, abduct soldiers with the Fulton system, and develop new technologies to upgrade your equipment. Developing your base is vital, as it provides support during missions, such as airstrikes or supply drops, making you the ultimate commander of a private military force.

I had played it earlier on PC and wanted to have it physically as well, so buying it for 17 euros was a no-brainer. Apart from the MGS on PS1, I had never seriously engaged with other MGS games. This one left me amazed regarding its gameplay and story. Especially the mechanics it has and how enemies react to your character's actions were quite advanced for their time (we're talking about a game released in 2015). If you haven't played it yet, give it a try. It still holds up quite well, even in terms of graphics.

I got it in 2022 on the PS5 and the truth is that every game should be played when it first comes out and not after 7 years like me. Graphics are good for its time, gameplay is decent although a bit strange in controls, but very repetitive. You go to bases and have to kill or free prisoners and then get on a helicopter. You upgrade weapons at your base but it's somewhat chaotic as a game. Okay, I wasn't thrilled and I got it for €4.5 from the store, so the downside is small

Well, when I bought it, I had it for 5 stars. The story is awesome! Weapons and upgrades are awesome! I thought I hit a gold vein. I expected a lot, especially because of the Base, but I was disappointed with the way it is managed. Maybe I never understood how it works. In the end, I got tired of waiting for all these game delays. Because it is a precision shooting game, it would be better to play it on PC. Other than that, it ROCKS!
Progress 20%. I might pick it up again sometime.

I was never a kojimakias and it seems like I won't become one... However, I have played all the mgs and death stranding... It is definitely a different and more entertaining game, but it didn't blow me away... It seems confusing to me, like a far cry with Kojima's madness and cringe scenes... It gives me the impression that it started off for something bigger and ended up being a simple fun to play game...

Metal Gear Solid V... By far the best action game of the last decade.
The plot is more than interesting. It combines action, drama, and adventure in an intelligent way, offering a very good experience!
As for the gameplay mechanics, direction, graphics, and soundtrack, it doesn't lack anywhere.

Classic things. Very beautiful game, very nice phase where you gathered an army, animals, etc. because it gave you more reasons to play (and it was also something original for the series), nice battle system, nice graphics, many things to do. BUT, there is no way it was a complete game. Tragically clumsy and awkward cut scenes and I really didn't understand if I finished it or if there were other missions to do. It was like it suddenly got cut in the middle. Nice plot twist, but it definitely didn't give you a sense of how you finished it. A masterpiece that was abandoned halfway. Besides that, it's worth its money for at least what it offers.

    One thing I will say:
    Kojima
His last masterpiece before leaving Konami...

From the soundtrack, you understand from the beginning what masterpiece we are talking about.
    - Amazing plot, great variety of missions.
    - Nice graphics even in the PS4 version with a steady 60fps.
    - In the end, you will fall in love with the game and also with Quiet^^

Wonderful graphics and endless hours of gaming is what Metal Gear Solid V Definitive Experience offers you! As for the gameplay, it offers flexibility, with many things to do, many things to find, and many places to see. The missions are satisfying and diverse, and it also has a good amount of humor and silly things to do to pass the time. HOWEVER, it also has several negatives! To start, I must say that it is not for everyone, as it has a dose of excessive fantasy that only some will appreciate. The controls are complex, and as a game in general, it is a bit difficult and time-consuming, plus it requires a lot of stealth. So if you are in a hurry, I would not recommend it

I bought it at full price and after 2 years, I still haven't finished it, simply because at some point it gets boring... Kojima is overrated, let's see what he will do with Death Stranding, which cancelled Silent Hill for his sake.

The Phanton Pain is in my opinion one of the top 5 games for PS4 at the moment. Excellent gameplay, amazing feeling when playing. The prologue is also included in this version and it is also very good with a nice story (Ground Zeroes). If you aim for the platinum in trophies, we're talking about over 100-120 hours of gameplay.

Kojima, dude, what have you made again, man? What a fantastic game this was... the story was very good, although it was unfinished because of Konami... The gameplay simply WONDERFUL... perfect music... EVERYTHING PERFECT... THE MAN WHO SOLD THE WORLD

  • I had played it earlier on PC and wanted to have it physically as well, so buying it for 17 euros was a no-brainer.

  • I got it in 2022 on the PS5 and the truth is that every game should be played when it first comes out and not after 7 years like me.

  • Well, when I bought it, I had it for 5 stars.

  • Although not a fan of open world games, Kojima has delivered another gem, but of course, it did tire me out quite a bit due to mission repetitions

  • Simply wonderful, just like the entire Metal Gear series! I've had it for years and I still play it. A great game with a fantastic story and plot.
