Michalis Kakogiannis is the first among the few directors counted on one hand who managed to take Greece beyond its borders. He achieved this by bringing Euripides and Kazantzakis to cinema, making them treasures of the international audience, showcasing the idea of Hellenism, at a time when there was essentially no serious cinema in its birthplace.
In his biography, he recounts this feat as well as his adventures in the world of cinema and theater. A great director who built his career singlehandedly, independent enough to decline Hollywood, he succeeded in establishing Greece in the demanding international artistic arena, armed only with his determination and talent.
Following his paths, savor the brilliance of his legend.
