Excellent product, always in relation to its price. Just right for someone looking for a modern, affordable option or someone who is a beginner in the field of audio. The Bluetooth is very convenient and is a reason to prefer it over more expensive devices, as the cost increases significantly for a better device plus a good Bluetooth dongle. I think this is the strong point of this amplifier: you know that the result it produces is not amazing compared to more high-end devices, but with 300 euros you get an amplifier + radio + Bluetooth. This does not mean that the sound it produces is bad. Really, someone without experience in the field will be more than satisfied. On the downside, I have to say the following: 1. The buttons on the front of the amplifier look and feel cheap (which is logical and preferable to making other compromises in its internal construction) 2. It does not have a preamp for turntables. For me, this is the only thing missing for it to be considered the ultimate all-in-one device. Still, a reasonable compromise given that 1. Many people will not play vinyl on an amplifier anymore (especially on this one) 2. Modern turntables have a built-in preamp and output a line signal instead of phono. In any case, you can connect a separate preamp if your turntable doesn't have one and you're set.

In sound, everything is a function of many factors.
I start with the turntable, the CD player, and the speakers.
So, this amplifier was tested with an Audio Technica turntable and a Sony CD player.
But with three different types of speakers.
First, Quadral Quintas 602 60w/4ohms 6 inch sensitivity 85 db, then Technics CD series model from 1992 80w/8ohms 8 inch sensitivity 88db, these made of MDF, and finally plastic APart ovo-5 bl 5.25 inch sensitivity 88 db 80w/8ohms.
The results were that each time the amplifier behaved differently.
With the first speakers, the volume was moderate and the bass quite good, but it got muffled above 70.
With the second, a lot of bass, high volume with a bit of distortion at 100.
Finally, with the last ones, the mid frequencies were emphasized with light, crystal-clear bass up to 100.
Listening distance was 3 meters.
The first two speakers sounded satisfactory above 55, the third started from 10.
The first speakers, due to the 4 ohms, had more heat.
Finally, be very careful not to put any device on top of the amplifier.
It heats up very quickly.
Best use at 8 ohms.
Conclusion: good sound is the result of several combinations, so a quick and arbitrary opinion is not always correct.
A lot of research is needed.
Especially for those whose money is not abundant.

In electronics, the Japanese are at the top, unfortunately in recent developments, Onkyo and Pioneer were sold to investment funds, so we forget about the known quality. The Yamaha R-s202 is a decent machine, meaning at a good price you get a radio with good reception, Bluetooth with good sound quality, sufficient power, and a useful remote control. Yamaha has a reputation for making products that withstand time instead of investing in marketing like many English-American companies, although there are reviews for this specific device that put it in doubt. The bass is good (maybe a little emphasized), the treble is the same, the vocals are okay, maybe not as prominent (it may be due to the speaker). Up to 40%, the sound is weak, then the volume increases quickly. In a 15 sqm room, I haven't put it above 75%, it's quite loud. The remote control has all the options, with remote control up to bass, treble, balance, very important for me. The only thing that bothers me is that the vocals sound somewhat compressed, how should I put it, in the background, how should I put it? On computer speakers, Bluetooth, or small stereos, it sounds normal, lively (even through a mobile or YouTube), here I don't know. Is the sound identity different? Does it need higher volumes? Anyway, there's something I don't like.

Update: The Sony of the same price range that I have from the 15-year period is more relaxed and the vocals sound louder. Yamaha obviously provides more detail, while Sony rounds off the sound (another huge company). Yamaha has a specific character in sound (the natural sound it advertises), which I didn't like even in the stereos I listened to. I probably want something more "musical" after all, not precise, colorless, or analytical.

I bought it mainly for the bluetooth*.
I wanted to be able to connect my smartphones and tablets to play mp3s, as well as for internet radio,
and to have overall control from a distance without cables.
I wasn't interested in the 5.1 and HDMI ports.

I was looking for a simple stereo amplifier with the relative price-performance ratio.

I have it connected to a simple pair of B&W 80Wt speakers.

Depending on the input source, the quality and the sound clarity (specifically from the Samsung Galaxy S7, where there is connectivity via bluetooth), the sound is rich, solid, full, and purely stereo.

I haven't pushed it to the maximum volume because I don't like listening to music at full blast.
However, I can confidently say that from the 40dl to the highest 75dl that I've set it to, there is no chance that it won't leave you with the feeling that the sound fills the space beautifully, harmonically, and satisfies with its clarity (depending on the position of the speakers, the "obstacles" around them, the distances, and generally the room).

Its remote control is slim, with enough buttons for full control from a distance, but I don't use it because I have control from my smartphone and tablet, which play the music.

Externally, it is a heavy, sturdy device with a nice finish, giving the immediate impression that
you are dealing with an expensive, serious hi-fi device.

The only drawback (completely subjective) that I can mention, and not in terms of sound quality,
is in its external front panel.
The position where it is convenient for me to place it has the amplifier's "back" facing the window,
so due to the external light that enters,
the black buttons it has are not easily distinguishable from the black frame.
In such cases, I think the silver version is preferable.

Also, the built-in radio receiver it has provides very good stereo sound quality on FM.
Personally, I am satisfied and I recommend it to anyone who doesn't need many input sources, prioritizing simplicity and quality stereo sound,
taking into account parameters such as the aforementioned speakers, room space with as few obstacles as possible, the input sources to be connected, etc.
