You must apply a minimal amount, as stated in the instructions. I noticed that if I apply another product first (eye cream, serum, or even if I have previously cleansed my face with a lotion) and then the remescar, it leaves white "stains". Personally, before applying the remescar, I rinse my face with water, then apply the remescar eye cream, and then any other desired product (serum, moisturizer).
