Benning CM 7 Digital Clamp Meter 0.1-1000A 0.1-1000A CAT IV (044059)
Digital current multimeter with clamp for reliable measurements.
Safety without compromises:
- multifunctional and powerful measurement with TRUE RMS method for industrial applications
- safe measurement of alternating / direct current up to 1000 A
- the highest measurement category CAT IV 600 V allows measurements directly at the low voltage installation source
- backlit liquid crystal display
- included in the delivery, compact protective case and measuring cables
Industrial environments require TRUE RMS measuring instruments!
Non-linear loads resulting, for example, from variable speed drives, frequency converters, or power supplies for office equipment and LED lamps create reactive power in the network. As a result, multimeters and current clamps operating with the so-called average measurement method ("RMS") will display the measured values with reduced accuracy.
In many cases and especially in industrial environments, it is therefore absolutely necessary to use the latest technology "TRUE RMS" measuring instruments. The "TRUE RMS" measurement method correctly indicates the true value of an alternating current – regardless of whether the current signal waveform is sinusoidal or distorted.
