For the first time in a collective work, issues of intellectual property directly related to mass media and specifically to the rights and obligations of journalists and publishers are explored. The same work also includes issues of collective rights management in the digital age, as well as issues of photographer protection and conflicts between the right to personality and the right to photography. The media sector has particular characteristics arising from the needs of information, transactional customs, the lack of contracts in many cases between the parties involved, as well as the evolution of technology and the internet.
