Obedience is one of the greatest virtues, which unfortunately tends to disappear in our days. And don't think that it is a virtue that only monks should practice. We, as "in the world" Christians, also need it in order to safely proceed on our path to salvation. This virtue is taught and recommended by all the Holy Fathers: "All men are required to have obedience to the Gospel, both monks and those in marriage" (St. Basil the Great).

The virtue of Obedience is proposed to us by St. Acacius of the Ladder, whose holy life was an Example of Obedience, in order to help us overcome the deadlocks of modern life.
