Aluminum: Lightweight and economical, but less conductive, requiring a larger cross-section. It oxidizes easily, so it is used almost exclusively in overhead power transmission networks and heavy industry, not in homes.
Tinned Copper: It is pure copper coated with tin, which protects it completely from corrosion. It retains excellent conductivity and is ideal for harsh conditions, moisture, solar power systems, marine applications, and industrial automation.
Copper-Clad Aluminum: CCA has an aluminium core with a thin copper coating. It is inexpensive and lightweight, but has high electrical resistance and overheats easily. It is more fragile and is a lower-quality, budget option.
Copper: Pure copper offers outstanding electrical conductivity and mechanical strength. It resists oxidation, is highly flexible, and is the gold standard for residential and industrial installations, providing maximum safety.
