This collective work is the product of collaboration among members of the Network of Practical Training from the Departments of Preschool Education. In this book, the authors propose theoretical frameworks, processes, methods, tools, and generally ways to support prospective educators within the context of their Practical Training.
In this way, the phases of the development of the Practical Training are designed, and the corresponding support material is provided. This material includes exercises, activities, scenarios, and examples of practices, on which students are invited, both individually and in groups, to reflect, question, seek answers, and gradually develop their own approach to educational practice through a participatory and collaborative process.
In each section, there are references to theoretical texts that support students in the reflective approach to the activities, examples, and exercises included in the book, and highlight the interdependent relationship between educational theory and educational practice.
The ultimate goal through such a process is for students to become prospective educational researchers, that is, (re)thinking professionals who will strive to participate in making conscious decisions at all levels. They will thus have the opportunity to (re)think by approaching an educational situation from various perspectives, to collaborate, to test a solution while simultaneously questioning their educational values.
Finally, students will learn to research and evaluate educational practice with a view to its continuous improvement.
