Description

It was getting dark quickly.

The wind was coming from afar, smelling of rain and war.
The trains full of soldiers rushed by
just as we managed to catch a glimpse of them through the windows.
Large iron helmets blocked the horizon.
The wet asphalt shone. Behind the windows,
while cleaning a few dry beans, the women fell silent.
And the patrol's footsteps
took the silence from the street and the warmth from the world.
So turn your eyes to let me look at the sky
and give me your hands to hold my life.
How pale you are, my beloved!
