Regarding the content of the book, I would like to note the following. The First Part includes a series of my public lectures at the Educational Association 'Athinaion' from November 1966 to April 1967. They were recorded, but I subsequently edited the text to give it a more complete, concise form, while not altering the style of the spoken word, as this, despite its imperfections, is always more vivid and comprehensible than the written form.

The Second Part republishes my columns from the Athens newspaper 'To Vima' (Thursday column) from the years 1961 - 1967 that refer, directly or indirectly, to the main themes of the First Part and can serve as clarifications or extensions of them. At the end of each, the date of the issue in which it was published is indicated.
