This volume contains 40 essays (all produced in the last five years) which I have categorized into 4 categories: socio-political, psychological, aesthetic-critical, and miscellaneous, as the latter would find it difficult to fit into the first three categories.

In these essays, the issues are always examined through a "philosophical" lens. That is, the intention is for the analysis not to be limited in any of its dimensions, neither in breadth nor in depth.

The reader will judge whether and to what extent this difficult task has been accomplished. However, I hope that even when they are not satisfied with the results of the effort, the text will provide enough stimuli for them to proceed more systematically and boldly than the author in exploring the topics. Then indeed, this writing will have achieved its main purpose. (from the author's preface)
