The Frankfurt School dominated philosophical matters in Europe and America for most of the 20th century.

The book examines the political theory of two of the principal representatives of the Frankfurt Institute of Social Research, Max Horkheimer and Jurgen Habermas. The study aims to critically present and compare the understanding of the concepts of the political and politics between the two thinkers, as well as to critique the applicability of the philosophers' arguments in the contemporary political field.

Is the political positioning of the Frankfurt School still relevant in the 21st century? Is there a political future within the existing social institutions? Can we analyze the dialectical relationship of the individual, the sciences, and political parties with the political and social sphere, and recognize possibilities for communicative action?

The book aims to answer the above questions and to broaden their problematic.
