THEOLOGY AND THE ECOUMENICAL is a scientific series for the publication, or re-publication, of studies and manuals for higher education, focused on the interpretation of the faith of the Orthodox Church as doctrinal formulation and textual documentation.
This is in accordance with the patristic processing and conciliar action, according to contemporary interpretation and contribution of Orthodox Theology today, but also in relation to the historical course and continuity of the ecclesiastical community.
Moreover, the series will house studies related to the Christian Ecumenism, the dialogue of the Orthodox Church and Theology with Christians of other denominations, and generally with modern humanity.
The series begins with the re-publication of the work of the late professor Nikolaos Ath. Matsoukas, from the Theological School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, a work that represents the culmination of a creative journey of theological activities in Thessaloniki with international impact.
The series coordinator is Despoina Ath. Lialiu, Professor at the A.U.Th.
