In the commemorative edition, there are three sections:
A chronological - historical section: Presenting the main events of 1917-1918 that led to the October Revolution and immediately followed, as well as a minute-by-minute historical record of the moments that unfolded over the three days of October 24, 25, and 26 (November 6-7-8 in the new calendar) of 1917 in Petrograd, which represented the peak moments of the revolution's victory.
A political and theoretical section: Featuring texts that capture the atmosphere, thoughts, tactics, confrontations, goals, and events that determined the outcome of the class struggle. Such as an excerpt from the historian E.H. Carr, author of one of the most serious and analytical histories of the Russian Revolution, as well as texts, articles, and letters from Lenin during the period just before and during the revolution and the events of 1917, along with his own "assessment" of the October Revolution, four years later.
The third section includes a small selection of writings by contemporary thinkers on the history and significance of October in our time. The book contains a series of photographs and artistic works related to the October Revolution of 1917.
A century from a historically significant event is a moment when reflections, reassessments, and positions almost inevitably and naturally arise. In this edition, we are not interested in the typical "celebratory remarks of the day," nor in the grandiose conclusions of so-called "friends" and enemies of the 1917 revolution. In this edition, we present a few moments of a major historical event, as a beginning, as a reminder, as an introduction to a time when revolutions are entirely necessary.
It contains texts by: Edward H. Carr, Vladimir Ilyich Lenin, L. Savelyev, Dimitris Gova, George Margaritis, Nikos Boiopoulos.
