Hans Christian Andersen spent his tender years in Odense, a small town in Denmark. Later, at the age of fourteen, he set off for Copenhagen, the capital.
On his way, he saw fairies and elves, heard whispers and voices of the forest, and many human stories, which later became books and spread around the world, in countries and in languages white, black, and yellow.
