The Children's Loves, the first book in the ANXIOUS PARENTS SCHOOL series, came about from recorded evening discussions of the author with a group of parents. Concerned about what is happening to their children at home, at school, and in society. Anxious because they do not rest but seek to learn.
Starting each time from a specific question from a parent, placing it in its general context and offering theoretical and scientific keys, the dialogue then, the book now, seeks to provide answers and create new questions.
All of this seems, and is, very serious, but, as the reader who allows themselves to be immersed in the atmosphere of each "evening" will discover, the narratives are often comically tragic, and the dialogues have something of Socratic maieutic irony, of self and each other.
Especially when the topic is children's loves or, otherwise: What is the sexual instinct? When and how is it activated? Are we born with gender, or is it constructed? Two, three, or seven genders? Is homosexuality a pathology? How nude should we be in front of children? What do we tell them about our romantic relationships? What does the sexual provocation of teenagers mean?… And many other unspoken things!
