Menidiatis emerged in the early '60s with compositions from his mentor Apostolos Kaldaras. Earlier, he shared the stage with pioneers such as Markos Vamvakaris, Giorgos Batis, Gerasimos Klouvatos, the legendary Dimitris Stergiou (Bempis), Giorgos Lávkas, Takis Binis, and others.

Michalis Menidiatis shared four years with the author Kostas Balachoutis to unravel his life and work, from his beginning as Kalogranis in Menidi to reaching "Stone by stone up to the peak" of our popular song.

The publication has a luxurious character and is accompanied by rich and rare photographic material, where alongside Menidiatis are prominent figures of Greek music and beyond.
