DDR4 is the fourth generation of RAM technology for computers. It replaces DDR3 and offers higher speeds and greater capacity than its predecessor.
Specifically, DDR4 offers operating speeds from 2133 MT/s to 4800 MT/s and response times (CAS Latency) from CL 9 to CL 22, while its capacity has increased to up to 32 GB per memory module.
For speed (MT/s) and capacity (GB), the higher the values we choose and the more the motherboard supports, the better. For response time (CL), we want the lowest value relative to the speed (MT/s).
The G.Skill Aegis offers a speed of 2400 MT/s, CL16, and 16 GB per memory module.
