Description

Description

Named after the powerful shield of Greek gods, Aegis symbolizes strength and power. This new addition of DDR4 memory to the AEGIS family of gaming memory is designed for upgraded performance and high stability on the latest PC gaming systems.

Give the quality performance boost your gaming rig deserves, no matter the game. Whether it’s FPS, RTS, MOBA, or MMORPG, let AEGIS Gaming DDR4 Memory be the strength of your gaming arsenal

DDR4

DDR4 is the fourth generation of RAM (Random Access Memory) technology for computers. It replaces DDR3 and offers increased speeds and larger capacities.

Specifically, DDR4 offers operating speeds ranging from 2133 MT/s up to 4800 MT/s, CAS Latency (CL) from CL 9 up to CL 22, while its capacity has been increased up to 16 GB per memory module.

For speed (MT/s) and capacity (GB), the higher we choose, the better. However, make sure our motherboard supports the speed & capacity. As for the CAS Latency (CL) the lower we choose, the better.

G.Skill Aegis operates at a speed of 2400MT/s, CL17 with 4GB of memory per module.

Compatibility

DDR4 technology is compatible with specific motherboards and processors. For example, DDR4 is compatible with Intel Skylake, Kaby Lake, Coffee Lake, and the latest Intel processors, as well as with AMD Ryzen and Threadripper processors.

However, to ensure compatibility with your motherboard, you must make sure that your motherboard supports DDR4 technology from the manufacturer. Compatibility depends on the processor platform and type of motherboard you are using.

XMP & EXPO

(XMP & EXPO) is a technology that allows us to boost the frequency and performance of our computer's memory without the need for manual adjustments. (XMP/ EXPO) works by storing pre-defined memory settings in the SPD (Serial Presence Detect) of the memory module. These settings can be automatically applied by the system's BIOS when XMP is enabled.

The Aegis memory supports (XMP 2.0/ EXPO) technology and offers:

  • Speed (XMP/EXPO): 2400 MT/s
  • CAS Latency (XMP/EXPO): 17-17-17-39
  • Voltage (XMP/EXPO): 1.20V

Cooling & Design

Built with the highest quality of hand-selected ICs and tested with G.SKILL's rigorous validation process on all major performance motherboard brands, the AEGIS Gaming DDR4 Memory is designed for the best compatibility and stability the widest selection of motherboards.

  • For simple Office and Internet use with AMD Ryzen 3 4100 and Asrock B450M HDV R4.0, I found the memory to be very impressive. Value for money in my opinion.

  • Excellent. I have them in Dual Channel and they work perfectly. I can't compare them to others as they are the first "good" ones I've bought. Anyway, they are definitely worth it.

  • At first, I thought it was the minimum for a gaming setup. In reality, it is much more than that. I run all games smoothly and consistently at 60+ fps in combination with the Geforce GTX 1050Ti. Of course, I have not tried it with very heavy games, but with a better graphics card, I am sure it will be perfect.

  • I had them for a year on my PC without any problems at all. They worked easily at 3200 with XMP, without any freezing or blue screens

  • I tried the 2 modules 8+8.
    On the positive side:
Together with the MSI MPG Z490 Gaming Plus and i5-10400f, I managed to reach 3200Mhz without increasing the voltage at all... I didn't try to push them further, to tell you the truth...
They worked straight out of the box without any problems.
I also did a RAM stress test to maximize the usage for a considerable amount of time. No blue screen or anything.
    Beautiful and simple.
And of course, the low price!

    On the negative side:
I don't have any, for now, but if anything happens in the future, I will update!

    Happy shopping!
