The computer was literally revived, as it was previously sluggish, despite being completely empty!

The last one is the fourth one I install. The main reason for buying the first one was the Western Digital name, which I constantly bought in HDD, so I decided to also get it in SSD. The three were installed on old laptops that were "revived" and continue to work flawlessly, and the last one on a desktop. It has been about three years since I installed the first one and I have had no reliability issues. I haven't done any speed tests because I didn't place them in a high-performance PC, but rather for everyday use (Internet, Youtube, Facebook, Office, etc.).

One week ago, I installed it on my "old" desktop, after first setting up the exact idol of win 10 pro on it, with all the files, etc.
Result: excellent, without any other changes, the startup time decreased from 1:30 minutes to 20-25 seconds.
As for long-term reliability, time will tell, although until today, any hdd/ssd from western digital that I have used, I have never had a problem, none of them ever froze!

WARNING! Purchased on 09.11.2020. WD has changed the sector size to 4K. As a result, it does not boot with this HP Prodesk desktop i3, which is 3 years old. It worked perfectly with a Kingston one that I had available. I assume there is also incompatibility with other branded desktops and laptops. No solution was found and it was returned to the store.

Good value for money. I have had it for 1 month and it has no issues, the only problem is that it is recognized as Sandisk because Western-Digital has messed things up a bit (refer to Google for more information) and has not given a clear answer to users who have this problem. In the future, I will replace it with an M2 NVMe (of course from a different company so that I can have peace of mind) and I will use this one as a backup and storage medium.

Impressive hard drive that revived my 2007 laptop. Of course, I didn't expect miracles due to the age of the machine, but from taking 5 minutes to boot up, it now takes less than 30 seconds. Not to mention that it flies when opening Chrome. Definitely, if I had installed it on a more modern machine, I could fully utilize its speed. However, it's better to choose a 500GB or larger for more storage comfort. I got one with 250GB. Overall, I am satisfied so far. I've only had it for a few days, but if anything comes up, I will update.

Replace the evo 860 with a suitable one as there was a compatibility issue with the Fx 8350, it is almost equivalent, slightly lower in write speed. It has 512 MB cache. It boots up quickly. And it comes with a 5-year warranty.
Under no circumstances should you get the Green, it's not worth the 5 Euro difference. They don't have RAM, they don't have a 5-year warranty, and their speeds are not very good.

Economic disk, around 37€. It was used as an upgrade for a new installation of Windows 10 on an old PC with an i3 processor, 2GB RAM, and thanks to it, we achieved very good results even without increasing the memory. Of course, in the case of using the PC with many open windows, the lack of memory starts to show.

Reliable and really fast, but you need to have a relatively modern computer and, of course, the operating system installed on an SSD. All games and generally everything load and run in very good times, as well as when opening the computer you will notice a quite good time.

Very fast ssd top in its category. WD is a company I trust and I decided to spend a few extra euros to get the blue series. However, if you need it for simple use and don't do demanding disk writes like video editing, gaming, and transferring large files, get the wd green. I personally use it with manjaro linux and it is perfectly compatible. I was torn between the equivalent model from crucial which has even better performance but I preferred the reliability of wd, besides the difference it may have is minimal... Also, it has been on the market for three years now so it is quite tested compared to more recent ssds that require firmware updates

I bought it and installed it on a laptop which, although new, had an extremely slow HDD for some reason, and in order to use it, I had to wait 1-2 minutes after it opened (about 20 seconds to open) before I could start using it.
One thing I will tell you, the performance has improved tremendously, Windows (10) opens in 5-7 seconds and is fully functional without having to wait any longer once I am on the desktop.
It's perfect!!!! I will also install it on the Desktop in combination with the Western Digital Blue HDD, I am completely satisfied

In an 8-year-old Dell laptop that took 2 minutes to boot up and had crazy freezes, it breathed new life. Quite good

    WD reliability.
    Plastic casing. (Not the best)
The warranty is 3 years. (!)
It was installed in a 12-year-old computer in a SATA 2 port and made a difference, I cannot evaluate speeds because the computer slows it down.

A good solution for people interested in giving their system more speed. I have two 8GB DDR4 RAM sticks at 2400MHz each, and it works like a charm.

I put him in an old Laptop i5 2nd generation of a friend of mine, and the computer was flying. It would open in 10-12 seconds. The whole system overall got better. Very good choice.
I bought another one now (2020) for a second disk in my own Laptop.
The picture is from yesterday (late 2020).

I have the disk for about a week, it is fast. My old SSD stopped working after a year and a half. I couldn't find it anywhere to write a review about it, it came with the purchase of the computer. I hope this one proves to be reliable.

Reliable and really fast, but you need to have a relatively modern computer and, of course, the operating system installed on an SSD. All games and generally everything load and run in very good times, as well as when opening the computer you will notice a quite good time.

It is highly recommended. Even an old laptop with a SATA II port that does not take advantage of the maximum speeds of the disk, made it fly. Windows 10 loads very quickly and heavy programs that previously used to freeze now open immediately and run without any problems!

I think it is the best choice for an SSD, fast, reliable, and affordable. Between this one and the equivalent Samsung (860 evo), I choose this one from Western Digital

  • It was installed on a Lenovo ideapad 330 laptop, replacing the WD hdd it had from the purchase.
The computer was literally revived, as it was previously sluggish, despite being completely empty!

  • The last one is the fourth one I install.
