Under the title "Agiological and Hymnological Studies", a series is inaugurated that will include studies and texts related to the saints; categorizations of them, their lives or specific aspects of their content, as well as studies related to hymnographic production in their honor, since Hymnography and Hymnology are directly connected to Agiology. It is worth noting, however, that although the studies could be considered part of the so-called "scientific" Agiology, they are not confined to the emphatic one-sidedness that distinguishes similar studies of Theological scholarship in Western Christianity, especially in Roman Catholicism.
The ultimate goal of the project is to familiarize the reader with a part of the Agiological and Hymnographic treasure of Orthodox tradition, to inform them about unknown - but extremely interesting - aspects and topics related to the subject at hand. [...]
