The problem with the SSDs of this particular company is that after 2-3 years, you have an increased chance of them "dying". Both of the ones I bought had the same symptoms.

The first one (120GB) died after 3 years and 1 month (just outside of warranty), and the second one (240GB) died within the 2-year warranty period, but I will still wait for its replacement...

When I say it dies, the operating system (Windows - Linux) recognizes it normally, with its capacity, but it is useless because you cannot create partitions or perform any actions.

I would not buy Patriot again, it's too risky to lose data...

After the first year, his health started to decline without, however, his performance dropping. After 3 years, it now needs replacement as the windows cannot function properly, producing many errors. I consider it unacceptable for an SSD to fail in just 3 years with simple use.

After exactly one year (okay +10 days), it stopped working and in the bios it shows satafirm s11... Of course, the files were lost but fortunately they are found, the biggest inconvenience is having to reinstall them all again...

Update: I have 2 of these quite cheap disks, but unfortunately because I only got 120 gigabytes, the write speed is very low at 100-120 Mb. The smaller the disk, the slower the speeds. If you want it for an old laptop/pc, it's worth its money as it's cheap, but if it's for a new one, it's better to go for Samsung/Crucial as there is a huge difference in speed and reliability. My first one burned out in 4 years, while the second one, with minimal usage, is still alive after 2 years. Not recommended for a new system.

Very good product. I have 5 installations with Windows 10 & Linux and I have used it in 15+ installations on older PCs/laptops, which simply boosted their performance. It is worth its money at prices below 20€ (whether it's 16€ or 19€, there is no difference in my opinion).

    ** UPDATE **

Overall, I have now used it (from 120GB - 960GB) over 50 times in installations and system cloning, on PS3, on PS4, and as an external backup drive occasionally (usb3.0 case). My opinion remains very positive.

At 19€, it is a decent choice to make an old machine work faster.

*Indeed, there is an issue with installing Windows. I tried with a 2019 DVD, Windows 10, and Windows 7. The former couldn't detect it, while the latter gave an error during installation. The solution was to write a new Windows 10 disc, which immediately detected it and the installation proceeded normally.

The disk has been purchased more than 8 times for upgrades on various systems, both desktop and laptop. All disks have had an operating system installed, drivers for the respective computer components, everyday use applications such as a browser and MS Office, and in several cases one or two games, depending on their size.

The read and write speeds listed are real and remain at the same levels after three years of use. There are no thermal issues, as it operates at temperatures of around 30 degrees regardless of the workload. It is one of the best value for money options for this capacity, and from time to time, there are very good deals that further reduce the price of this particular product.

It is recommended for users who want to upgrade their computer and are using a mechanical disk, as that is where the performance difference will be the greatest and most noticeable.

I have approximately 4 years (it was not called burst back then), no problem, another two approximately 2 years, and a couple that I have bought for friends, no problem.
The 120GB ones do not reach the promised speed, but they are good and cheap for upgrading an old PC.
I have not seen a decrease in speed over time

For its price, it is excellent! We use them in refurbished PCs at my job and we don't have a high failure rate. I have personally bought 2-3 for myself here and it's been almost 2 years and none of them have failed. Mostly, as a primary disk, it works for operating systems and programs, due to its capacity. Of course, we always keep a backup, no matter what disk we have!

I have installed it in 3 PCs after a recommendation from computer technicians, not as the best on the market but as the best value for money. So far, I have no complaints and I don't see any difference in speed compared to the Samsung Evo 860 250 GB that I also have. Its reliability will be shown in the future. Let me say something that those who comment on speed may not be aware of: if the motherboard does not support SATA III (600Mbps), no matter what you install, you will not achieve the speed that the disk supports. I see double the speed on the same disk when I put it in a different machine that supports SATA III (600Mbps)

Initially, I tried it at $22. As soon as it arrived, I put it in an Intel NUC 5CPYH that I have, installed Windows, and all I have to say is that it's lightning fast. I have 11GB of free space but I haven't noticed any difference, it's perfect and definitely the best for its price. I recommend it to you.

I have been using it for two years without any problems and I do all the updates. The speeds, after running two different speed tests on the 1GB, are 320MB/s read and 251MB/s write. The speeds, compared to those on paper, are disappointing. On the second disk I have on my PC, which is a WD (Blue) HDD, I have read 190MB/s and write 138MB/s. I will definitely not choose this company again.

I have it for 2 months (although it's not much) since the hard disk of my 7-year-old PC burned out, so I decided to get an SSD. For now, the machine runs smoothly with Windows 10, although I don't know if I fill up the SSD and it starts to slow down. So the solution is to get an HDD for all the files (photos, videos, applications, music) because 120GB is not enough. In my opinion, it's better not to fill up the SSD as much as it has space.

I have bought 2 of these, for 2 different builds!
Reliable brand and not made in China!
They are quite fast, even if they don't reach their theoretical transfer rate in MB!
They cost less than 20 euros - when I bought it, it was 18-19 euros and now even lower!
It can accommodate your operating system and some applications to make your system run smoothly and reliably!
120 GB may not be a lot, but it is intended for conscious users who use it alongside larger hard drives, so you don't need much more!
Perfect for a laptop or an old machine, to give it new life and make it agile!
    What else does anyone want?

At 19€, it is a decent choice to make an old machine work faster.

*Indeed, there is an issue with installing Windows. I tried with a 2019 DVD, Windows 10, and Windows 7. The former couldn't detect it, while the latter gave an error during installation. The solution was to write a new Windows 10 disc, which immediately detected it and the installation proceeded normally.

Windows installation was not possible. I tried everything, BIOS settings, cmd, etc. I returned it and they replaced it for me. It indeed had a problem... I got one from a different company and it worked immediately.

I have purchased 3 pieces. All 3 have a stuck temperature sensor. All 3 have problematic reading speeds in large files. (Tests were conducted with HWMonitor and CrystalDiskMark). The reading speeds are 200MB/s lower than the maximum advertised.

Very good SSD, for the price it costs it is just right even if it doesn't have the "name" like other hard drives.

A tough one. I have the 120GB one, it's fine for Windows only. If you want to install programs and games, you will need a bigger one, since Windows takes up around 60GB

    Verified purchase

Out of the 4 I had, one broke in less than 1 month. It was probably a defective piece. The store replaced it with a different brand. The other 3 are functioning perfectly.

  • 5 stars due to its low price and reliability! I have bought 3 and have installed them in 3 different PCs/laptops and so far, no issues. Only time will tell about its durability, but in terms of speed, it's perfect!

  • The problem with the SSDs of this particular company is that after 2-3 years, you have an increased chance of them "dying".

  • After the first year, his health started to decline without, however, his performance dropping. After 3 years, it now needs replacement as the windows cannot function properly, producing many errors. I consider it unacceptable for an SSD to fail in just 3 years with simple use.

  • After exactly one year (okay +10 days), it stopped working and in the bios it shows satafirm s11... Of course, the files were lost but fortunately they are found, the biggest inconvenience is having to reinstall them all again...

  • Update: I have 2 of these quite cheap disks, but unfortunately because I only got 120 gigabytes, the write speed is very low at 100-120 Mb.
