Description

Description

For millennia, humanity has exploited the Earth without considering the cost. Today, as the planet's temperature rises and weather conditions change dramatically, the Earth has begun to fight back.

James Lovelock, one of the founders of environmental thought, passionately and poetically argues that although global warming is now inevitable, it is not too late to save at least a part of human civilization.

The author believes that humanity is not only on the brink of destroying the Earth and itself but also that most of the alternative "remedies" proposed are misguided. We must take drastic actions to secure the future of humanity and our civilization.

Gaia, the living and self-regulating Earth, will take care of itself as it always has. It is hubris on our part to imagine that it will not.
