Description

The series of final articles sent to Vorwarts with the ironic title The Overthrow of Science by Mr. Eugen Dühring (as a response to the supposed new theories of Mr. E. Dühring about science in general and socialism in particular) were gathered into a volume that became very popular among German socialists.

In this pamphlet, we present the most timely excerpts from the theoretical part of Engels' book, which could be characterized as an introduction to scientific socialism. (Karl Marx, from the Preface to the French edition, 1880)

Thus, with this edition, this small book is now available in 10 languages. I do not know of any other socialist work, not even the Communist Manifesto of 1848 or Marx's Capital, that has been translated as often. In Germany, it has already gone through four editions, with approximately 20,000 copies.
