This edition is a collection of the most important legislations of consumer protection law, which are categorized into four thematic units.

The first unit includes the basic legislations (Constitution, Civil Code, and Law 2251/1994), as well as the recent Law 3297/2004, which established a new independent authority titled "Consumer Advocate." Subsequently, provisions related to the protection of consumers' economic interests are presented, with particular emphasis on financial and investment services, and private insurance services (with reference to the new Law 3229/2004), the sale and guarantees of consumer goods, commercial representation, financial leasing, electronic commerce, tourism services, organized trips, timeshares, telecommunications - broadcasting services, advertising, medical and legal services, as well as general interest services.

This is followed by community and national regulations concerning the safety and quality of products. The last unit refers to the procedural protection of consumers.
