It was a painting... I had painted tears... The tears of the woman who satisfied the hunger of the people... You know, it is very difficult to paint tears.

"Lacrimosa or the Unfirst is a 'work' for which, beyond directors and actors, the potential viewer must also decide quite a lot. From the most obvious (who are the ones they see, what are those they see) to the most obscure (if the two protagonists are really crying or if they truly touch each other's neck). These questions seem very important to me – it seems that the decisions of the viewers depend on the choices of the characters.
