Among the works of ancient Greek literature that continue to exert a fertilizing influence on modern thought, Aristotle's "Politics" holds a special place, with its political and ethical thought maintaining their value and relevance. The content of "Politics" is extremely interesting. It deals with the great themes of political philosophy: the relationship between politics and ethics, the fundamental concept of the good for ethics and politics, the dialectical relationship between citizen and state, the essence and political nature of man, the essence and purpose of the state, the criterion of correctness of governments, the teaching on natural slaves, the reduction of political society to the very nature of man, and of course, alongside a kind of social contract, the theoretical foundation of democracy with the famous aggregative theory that constitutes a strong advocacy for the democratic regime.
