I use it on the PC together with IEMs for PUBG, it's perfect! strong sound I hear everything, and in combination with the IEMs my head is relaxed unlike when I used a headset..

It works perfectly with my Android phone. For example, I play something on YouTube and its DAC does upscale (the blue light turns on, etc.) and its sound is excellent. Also, the built-in powerful amplifier... does its job excellently with headphones, giving them easy - abundant power. But I have a Mac Air M1 computer. In tests on a good sound system, with tracks from YouTube, comparing the Android phone and the Mac alone, I MUCH PREFER the sound that the Mac produces! This says a lot about the quality of this DAC. Also, it is IMPOSSIBLE to work well with the Mac and its programs, e.g., Audirvana, Roon, or anything else. For example, you set it as output and it does not do upscale like it does on the Android phone and its light stays green. You set it as output in Audirvana and it has connectivity issues, it plays the upscaled music sent by Audirvana, but the light stays green... and even though it plays... the Mac shows that the internal speakers are playing. You set it in Roon and again, it does not do upscale at all. REALLY UNACCEPTABLE COOPERATION WITH THE MAC!!! I also bought an original Apple usb-c to usb cable but still exactly the same. REALLY UNACCEPTABLE COOPERATION WITH THE MAC!!! ATTENTION!!! I don't know how other people manage with this DAC and their Mac, but I couldn't figure it out and I never will. I keep it as a DAC for the phone... when, for example, I want to play a track from YouTube directly into the input of the sound system in my car. UNACCEPTABLE COOPERATION WITH MAC! ATTENTION! EXACTLY WHAT I FEARED BEFORE I BOUGHT IT! Trying it again on my Mac makes me want to smash it against the wall...
Συνεργαζεται αψογα με το android κινητο μου. Βαζω πχ να παιζει κατι στο youtube και το dac του κανει upscale (αναβει μπλε κλτ) και ο ηχος του ειναι εξαιρετικος. Επισης ο ενσωματομενος δυνατος ενυσχητης... κανει εξαιρετικα την δουλεια του σε ακουστικα δινοντας τους ευκολη - αφθονη δυναμη. Ομως εχω mac air m1 υπολογιστη. Σε τεστ σε καλο ηχοσυστημα, σε κομματια απο το youtube, αυτο με android κινητο και ο mac μονος, ΠΡΟΤΙΜΩ τον ηχο που βγαζει ο mac κατα πολυ! Αυτο λεει πολλα για την ποιοτητα αυτου του dac. Επισης ΑΔΥΝΑΤΟΝ να συνεργαστει καλα με τον mac και τα προγραμματα του πχ Audirvana, Roon αλλα και οτιδηποτε. All DACs at this price are a significant upgrade from your mobile's DAC (unless you have an LG) and your computer's DAC, of course it also depends on your headphones/speakers. The RED is a better value than the COBALT since you will definitely upgrade to a more expensive and better DAC after seeing the difference compared to a computer's DAC. Όλα τα DAC αυτής της τιμής είναι μεγάλη αναβάθμιση από το DAC του κινητού σας (εκτός αν έχετε LG) και το DAC του υπολογιστή σας, βέβαια εξαρτάται και τα ακουστικά σας / ηχεία σας. Είναι καλύτερο value το RED από το COBALT εφόσον σίγουρα θα αναβαθμίσετε μετά σε ακριβότερο και καλύτερο DAC αφού δείτε τη διαφορά σε σχέση με το DAC ενός υπολογιστή.

Excellent to start your journey into high-end sound. I had it with the meze 99 classics and enjoyed it very much.

Very good first impression, clear, detailed, and warm sound. There is a soundstage, but nothing special.
I use it with a MacBook Pro on a dock as shown in the photo, without any problems whatsoever.
It works perfectly with Tidal Master (MQA) in exclusive mode, so that the MQA decoding is done correctly. When in this mode, it cannot be used as an audio output for other things, such as system sounds, YouTube, music through the browser, etc. Another DAC or built-in sound card can be used for other sounds.
It also did not present any problems with iPhone & iPad Pro using the corresponding adapters (USB3 - Lightning & USB-C Hub).
As for the amplifier part, the result is satisfactory, but with high-Ohm headphones, it may not be able to drive them successfully to the desired volume. Personally, I have paired it with the JDS Atom amp.
Πολύ καλή πρώτη εντύπωση, ήχος καθαρός, αναλυτικός και ζεστός. Υπάρχει εύρος (soundstage) αλλα τιποτα το ιδιαίτερο.
Το χρησιμοποιώ με MacBook Pro πάνω σε dock οπως φαίνεται και στην φωτογραφία, χωρις κανένα απολύτως πρόβλημα.
Δουλεύει άψογα με Tidal Master (MQA) σε exclusive mode ετσι ωστε να γινεται σωστα η αποκωδικοποίηση του MQA. Όταν είναι σε αυτή την λειτουργία, δεν μπορεί να χρησιμοποιηθεί ως έξοδος ήχου για αλλά πράγματα, όπως πχ ήχοι συστήματος, YouTube, μουσική μέσω browser κτλ. Μπορεί να χρησιμοποιηθεί κάποιο άλλο DAC ή ενσωματωμένη κάρτα ήχου για τους λοιπούς ήχους.
Δεν παρουσίασε κανένα πρόβλημα επίσης σε iPhone & iPad Pro με τους αντίστοιχους adapters (USB3 - Lightning & USB-C Hub).
Όσον αφορά το κομμάτι του ενισχυτή το αποτέλεσμα είναι ικανοποιητικό αλλά σε ακουστικά υψηλών Ohms ίσως να μην ειναι σε θεση να τα οδηγήσει με επιτυχία στην επιθυμητή ένταση. Προσωπικα το εχω συνδιασει με JDS Atom amp.

Without having tried other products in the category (external sound card/dac/headphone amplifier), I can say that the comments of M4S4 fully cover me. The difference in sound quality from the same headphones is clear and extremely pleasant, specifically: sound stage, clarity, speed, adequate bass with very good control, clarity in different instruments without sounding "isolated" from each other. But the feeling of hearing the drum roll, the sliding on the strings, and other production details is amazing.
Setup:
- Bose QuietComfort 35 (yes, probably not the ideal headphones for music - I'm considering the HD600)
- Tidal Hifi/Master quality
- Macbook Pro (played relatively plug & play but requires some attention to settings afterwards)I was skeptical, but in the end, I am very happy that I made this purchase.
Χωρίς να έχω δοκιμάσει άλλα προϊόντα στην κατηγορία (εξωτερική κάρτα ήχου/dac/ενισχυτής ακουστικών) μπορώ να πω ότι με καλύπτουν πλήρως τα σχόλια του M4S4. Είναι ξεκάθαρη και εξαιρετικά ευχάριστη η διαφορά στην ποιότητα ήχου από τα ίδια ακουστικά και πιο συγκεκριμένα: sound stage, καθαρότητα, ταχύτητα, όσο πρέπει μπάσα με πολύ καλό έλεγχο, διαύγεια στα διαφορετικά όργανα χωρίς όμως να ακούγονται "απομονωμένα" μεταξύ τους. Αλλά είναι τρομερό το συναίσθημα να ακούς το σούρσιμο στο ταμπούρο, το sliding στις χορδές, και άλλες λεπτομέρειες της παραγωγής.
Setup:
- Bose QuietComfort 35 (ναι πιθανότατα δεν είναι τα ιδανικά ακουστικά για μουσική - γλυκοκοιτάζω τα HD600)
- Tidal Hifi/Master quality
- Macbook Pro (έπαιξε σχετικά plug & play αλλά θέλει λίγο προσοχή στις ρυθμίσεις μετά)Ήμουν επιφυλακτικός αλλά τελικά είμαι πολύ χαρούμενος που προχώρησα σε αυτή την αγορά.

If you're trying to Google whether the sound is better than the integrated sound card of your Rog motherboard (e.g. from Supreme FX to z270/390 with S1220codec/ ES9023P dac/ RC4850amp), you will read different opinions. However, the difference is clear (and chaotic compared to any Laptop Win or iOS or older mobo).
If you simply play games or listen to some mp3s with Razer headphones or computer speakers, you don't need to spend money on the Dragonfly, the difference it will give you is likely not worth it (prefer soundblaster Z/AE-5/G6).
If you have a home cinema set up with optical out or HDMI to the amplifier from the PC, you also don't need something like that in a DAC.
But if you have ever listened to a hi-fi system, have used headphones with a 3.5/6.5mm jack amplifier from Yamaha/Denon, happen to have a good set of OverEar headphones with a collection of flac files or a premium subscription to Spotify/Tidal, AND you are willing to spend the 200€ that it asks for, DO NOT THINK TWICE...
Music with headphones compared to integrated sound card or any laptop comes alive! The stereo stage opens in height and width, incredibly low in volume but with control, high where it doesn't tire, with whatever instruments, samples, loops you put in, the sound doesn't "muddy", you will hear parts in songs that you know but had never noticed before. You will want to listen again to everything you have in your collection. In other words, it delivers the advertised audiophile sound.
With V-Moda Crossfade LP2 at 32ohm and volume max 30-40% (after that, the volume becomes dangerous) in EDM, House, Trance, Metal, Rock, the opinion for all the above... and the DF Red. And a little dose of exaggeration - EVERYTHING IS SUBJECTIVE IN SOUND...
The jitterbug, although initially doesn't seem necessary..., in the end, it might offer better resolution!
In USB 3.0, the Dragonfly sounds better than in USB 2.0 (and yes, it's not a placebo effect). The jitterbug downgrades to USB 2.0, but with the Dragonfly on top of the jitterbug and in a USB 3.0 port, it has the best result. (The USB controller also matters in the result, it's not the same in all machines, tested!).
In a Samsung Galaxy with an OTG cable, the battery drains relatively quickly and although the sound is better than the S9, it may not be as good as in a PC or laptop.
If you want something portable, it's the way to go... plug and play hifi!
(It doesn't need drivers, you plug the 3.5mm jack from the headphones into it and connect it to a USB port on any machine you want...).

3) ifi Audio nano/mikro iDSDΑν προσπαθείς να googlαρεις κατα πόσο είναι καλύτερος ο ηχος απο την ενσωματωμένη soundcard του Rog mobo σου (πχ απο Supreme FX σε z270/390 με S1220codec/ ES9023P dac/ RC4850amp), θα διαβάσεις διάφορα. Η διαφορά όμως είναι ξεκάθαρη (και χαοτική σε σχέση με οποιοδήποτε Laptop Win ή iOS ή παλιότερη mobo).
Αν απλά παίζεις παιχνίδια ή ακούς και κάνα mp3 με IE ακουστικά της Razer ή ηχεία υπολογιστή δεν χρειάζεται να δώσεις λεφτά για το dragonfly, το πιθανότερο είναι να μην αξίζει η διαφορά που θα σου δωσει (προτίμησε soundblaster Z/AE-5/G6).
Αν έχεις στημένο home cinema με optical out ή hdmi στον ενισχυτή απο το pc πάλι δεν χρειάζεσαι κάτι τέτοιο σε dac...
Αν όμως, έχεις έστω κάποτε ακούσει hi-fi σύστημα, έχεις βάλει ακουστικά σε 3.5/6.5mm jack ενισχυτή Yamaha/Denon, τυχαίνει να έχεις και κάνα καλό σετάκι OverEar ακουστικά με συλλογή απο flac ή premium συνδρομή σε spotify/tidal, ΚΑΙ έχεις να δώσεις και τα 200€ που ζητάει ΜΗΝ ΤΟ ΣΚΈΦΤΕΣΑΙ....
Η μουσική με ακουστικά σε σχέση με ενσωματωμένη κάρτα ήχου ή οποιοδήποτε laptop, ζωντανεύει! Το stereo stage ανοίγει σε ύψος κ πλάτος, χαμηλά απίστευτα σε όγκο αλλά κ έλεγχο, ψηλά που δεν κουράζουν, με όσα όργανα, samples, loops και να μπουν ο ήχος δεν "μπουκώνει", θα ακούσεις μέρη σε κομμάτια που ξέρεις αλλα δεν τα είχες παρατηρήσει ποτέ. Θα θες να ακούσεις ξανά ότι έχεις στη συλλογή σου. Με άλλα λόγια δίνει τον audiophile ήχο που διαφημίζει.

Σε USB 3.0 το Dragonfly ακούγεται καλύτερα απ'οτι σε USB 2.0 (και ναι δεν ειναι placebo effect). Το jitterbug κάνει downgrade σε usb2.0, αλλά σε σειρά το dragonfly πανω στο jitterbug και σε usb3.0 θήρα έχει το καλύτερο αποτέλεσμα. (σημασία έχει και ο usb controller στο αποτέλεσμα, δεν είναι σε όλα τα μηχανήματα το ίδιο, δοκιμασμένα!).
Σε samsung galaxy με otg καλώδιο, η μπαταρία πέφτει σχετικά γρήγορα και ο ήχος αν και καλύτερος απο του s9, δεν είναι ίσως το ίδιο καλός όπως σε pc ή laptop.
Αν θες κάτι φορητό είναι μονόδρομος...plug n play hifi!
(Δεν θέλει drivers, κουμπώνεις πάνω του το 3.5mm jack απο τα ακουστικά και το βάζεις σε usb θήρα σε ότι μηχάνημά θες...)

There is nothing equivalent for this money. If you give it quality sound, you will hear quality results. It can drive a great pair of 300 ohm headphones (Sennheiser 600HD)!!!!
δεν υπάρχει κάτι αντιστοιχο σε αυτά τα λεφτά. αν του δώσεις ποιοτικο ήχο θα ακουσεις ποιοτικο αποτελεσμά. Μπορεσε να οδηγησει μια χαρά ακουστικά 300 ohms (sennheizer 600HD)!!!!

Very good first impression, clear, detailed, and warm sound. There is a soundstage, but nothing special.
I use it with a MacBook Pro on a dock as shown in the photo, without any problems whatsoever.
It works perfectly with Tidal Master (MQA) in exclusive mode, so that the MQA decoding is done correctly. When in this mode, it cannot be used as an audio output for other things, such as system sounds, YouTube, music through the browser, etc. Another DAC or built-in sound card can be used for other sounds.
It also did not present any problems with iPhone & iPad Pro using the corresponding adapters (USB3 - Lightning & USB-C Hub).
As for the amplifier part, the result is satisfactory, but with high-Ohm headphones, it may not be able to drive them successfully to the desired volume. Personally, I have paired it with the JDS Atom amp.
Πολύ καλή πρώτη εντύπωση, ήχος καθαρός, αναλυτικός και ζεστός. Υπάρχει εύρος (soundstage) αλλα τιποτα το ιδιαίτερο.
Το χρησιμοποιώ με MacBook Pro πάνω σε dock οπως φαίνεται και στην φωτογραφία, χωρις κανένα απολύτως πρόβλημα.
Δουλεύει άψογα με Tidal Master (MQA) σε exclusive mode ετσι ωστε να γινεται σωστα η αποκωδικοποίηση του MQA. Όταν είναι σε αυτή την λειτουργία, δεν μπορεί να χρησιμοποιηθεί ως έξοδος ήχου για αλλά πράγματα, όπως πχ ήχοι συστήματος, YouTube, μουσική μέσω browser κτλ. Μπορεί να χρησιμοποιηθεί κάποιο άλλο DAC ή ενσωματωμένη κάρτα ήχου για τους λοιπούς ήχους.
Δεν παρουσίασε κανένα πρόβλημα επίσης σε iPhone & iPad Pro με τους αντίστοιχους adapters (USB3 - Lightning & USB-C Hub).
Όσον αφορά το κομμάτι του ενισχυτή το αποτέλεσμα είναι ικανοποιητικό αλλά σε ακουστικά υψηλών Ohms ίσως να μην ειναι σε θεση να τα οδηγήσει με επιτυχία στην επιθυμητή ένταση. Προσωπικα το εχω συνδιασει με JDS Atom amp.
