The structure of the book aims to be understandable to the student who has not heard about masonry before, useful to the engineer who has thus far approached it empirically, and attractive to the engineer who systematically deals with masonry constructions, mainly through interventions.

Initially, the topic of the materials that make up masonry and the determination of their mechanical properties is covered.

Subsequently, the topics of the formation of new constructions for better seismic response and the design of both unreinforced and reinforced masonry, according to Eurocode 6, are developed.
