This review is about the book: -

It takes place in a different era, resulting in a peculiarity in the language. One third of the book consists of dialogues in Katharevousa, which I did not like. Additionally, I was tired of the fact that the book is called "Data" and one third of it talks about how Data was born without actually including her, referring to her mother, father, grandmother, and their lives, which bored me.
After that, it gets better, with nice writing overall. It also makes references to the revolution, which left me quite indifferent.
I should note that I did not buy the book, it was lent to me, and I would not have bought it because it is not my style.
If someone likes drama and romance, it is just right for them.

Description & Specifications

My name is Data. I live in another world, one that I created alone, with my own laws. My name is Data and I have no regrets... Alexandra Salvanou, daughter of Robert and Haritini.

Data became her name soon. Without a surname. Without a past. Guilty of all the sins that the Church or the Police could accuse her of. She never felt guilty for anything. She never thought that the evil was born within her first, then the worse, and never the good.

Beautiful. Yet another weapon, a trap for her unsuspecting victims. No one expects the face of an angel to hide the black soul of a devil, destined to spread death and destruction.

She never made friends, nor did she feel their absence. She considered them a weakness, a weapon in the hands of the opponent. On the contrary, her enemies were many, but she knew how to fight.

Data. A woman who lived in a world she created alone. With her own laws. She never regretted anything...

Read an excerpt

My name is Data… For many years now. I am almost beginning to forget that I was once named Alexandra^ Alexandra Salvanou, daughter of Robert and Charitini.

Along with my identity, I buried the past. That girl no longer exists; she became something else, something that perhaps does not resemble a human. I do not regret. I have never managed to regret anything in my life, and sometimes that makes me wonder what I was made of. What heavy curse haunted my birth, what fiery seal of evil was dragged over me. Once, someone told me that whoever approaches me enters Hell with no hope of return, and I do not blame them. I am guilty of all the sins that the Church or the Police can accuse me of, yet I do not feel guilty for anything. Everything came naturally in my path, or it just seemed so to me. It never crossed my mind that I could have become anything other than what I became. It never even occurred to me that inside me, first evil was born, then worse, and never good.

I gave nothing without taking much, I did not reach out to help without knowing beforehand that my ultimate goal was to destroy and nothing else. Those who approached me were afraid, those who knew me suffered to the depths of their souls and regretted the moment they crossed my path. And if at times I tried to feel like a human, the devil that possessed me did not let me return to the paths of God, whom I never wanted to know until now…
