The edition: "Memory is not archived. Six years of comedy..." edited by historian Nikos Kleitsikas. Essentially, it is a reissue of a publication that was released in Florence in 1973, during the dictatorship, by the "Friends of PAK Florence".
The edition is accompanied by rich historical material, posters, explanatory notes. The forewords have been written by the author (and collaborator of the newspaper "Paron") Giorgos Papagiannopoulos and the architect Alekos Xenakis.
In the introduction of "Why this book", we find a quote by Victor Hugo: "Our memories are our strength. Let us never allow the heroic milestones of our history to be erased from memory, and when the night tries to come back, let us set fire to the great anniversaries, as we would light torches."
In this edition that is reproduced today, "satire becomes the mirror of that era. Fascism and the boundless stupidity of those American-driven humanoids who aspired to become a dynasty are satirized. A satire that is intensely social and takes the form of cultural questioning of power" is published by Direct Publications. Available at major bookstores.
