The Afentakis Protoyeros is the undisputed king of wine, the celebrant of retsina. A glutton for pleasure, he opens his mansion to feasts and unrestrained, until the final collapse, Wine Confessions.
To quench his insatiable thirst for pleasure, he transforms his mansion into a peculiar harem, where maidens wander, whom he supposedly brings to help his wife with the household chores. The omnipotence of Afentakis and retsina is shattered by his son Andreas.
Aromas, laughter, wedding songs and festivities, the lascivious sound of kisses behind the foliage, the whistling of must in the barrels ferment within him, creating his personal wine named "Ampelourgos."
And when Kastalía, the moon-woman, the vision-woman, enters his life, he creates his second wine in her name. Following is "Imeros," the wine of love and passion, and finally "Poema," the most overwhelming, which encompasses the entirety of life, even death itself, and what lies beyond it.
