The familiar style of the "existentialist" playwright is absent in Nekrasov. Sartre himself mentions in an interview that he wrote a farcical satire that reproduces the structure of society. Thus, the use of real names is justified in order to convey the necessary realistic tone.
This work demystifies the spotless image of a specific segment of the press, the powerful people-representatives of each society, revealing the dark spots of political reality, as well as the true culprits or the usual suspects of this planet.
With Nekrasov, Sartre aimed for something that hadn’t occupied his previous concern, the regeneration or even the renewal of Aristophanes' theater, hoping that in this way he could address and attract a broader audience, that of the popular masses.
