But in a way that is occult and ancestral, including myths, legends, and landscapes that immerse the reader-viewer into a world of gloomy passions, which lead to jealousy, persecution, and the tragic end: Death. Love stands out as the only force that can transcend death. The work presents customs – which are still maintained in the Andalusian land where its plot unfolds – through symbolic objects, such as the stiletto, the knife, and the penknife, which foreshadow tragedy and have an obsessive presence in Lorca's corpus, captivating and simultaneously heralding death.
