Description

2034: The entire world is a heap of ruins. Humanity has almost been completely exterminated. Radiation makes the half-destroyed cities uninhabitable. And according to various rumors, beyond their borders extend endless burning deserts and jungles of mutated forests. However, no one knows for sure what lies beyond.

Those who refuse to believe that the age of man has come to an end are few: only a few tens of thousands of people. They do not know if others have survived or if they are the last people on the planet. They live in the Moscow metro, the largest nuclear shelter ever built. The last refuge of humanity.

The central governing system has long since collapsed, and the subway stations have turned into dwarf states. Here, feelings give way to instincts, the most important of which is the instinct for survival. Survival at all costs.

After Metro 2033, a new, astonishing story that will take your breath away!

In my opinion, the best (and this doesn't make the others inferior) from at least 2033. I finished it immediately because it is so interesting. It doesn't follow Artyom's story but that of another well-known character. Also, unlike 2033, the book does not correspond to the game (Last Light) or subsequently 2035 with Metro Exodus. Good reading to anyone who decides to buy it

Now I have reached the third and final book in the series, so I am ready to give my opinion on the second book as well. Let me tell you from the beginning that the book does not follow Artemis, but it takes place shortly after the first book's timeline. It was not as annoying to read as the first one, which was tiring, but it was not pleasant either. On the positive side, the book takes you on different paths and helps you understand the world of the metro better, so it helps answer some questions that you couldn't before. The map is always informative, but I used it much less than in the first book. Maybe it's because I'm learning the names of the stations? Anyway, I mostly used it as a bookmark. I have played the games and read the books, and so far, kids, the next and final book in the series is more interesting than all of them. But it is necessary to read this one too because you won't understand anything in the end. 4 out of 5 from me because it had moments that made me not want to put the book down
