Sudden error within 5 months "Critical process died". It got destroyed (file recovery not possible) and was not recognized by diskpart or disk management, only by the bios as Satafirm S11. I also got a burst for pure OS usage (light usage) which has lasted for 4 years.

In exactly 2.5 years, it died. Dead. I had some warnings from the S.M.A.R.T. function of the bios that something was wrong with the disk (fortunately, I took a backup just in case) and the next month it was dead. The system didn't recognize it, as if it didn't exist. The reliability issues that HDDs used to have and we thought were eliminated due to SSDs, are still here and are here because of low-quality chips that are being used. Fortunately, the 3-year warranty was valid and I am in the process of being compensated by the store (of course, I refused a replacement with the same one, even though I was given the opportunity, I don't want to change the disk again in 2 years). I will take the money and buy a more reliable one...

Very good disk, especially for the money you give. I installed it on a Sony laptop with Windows 10 and it has become much faster. It doesn't raise the temperature and so far, performance hasn't dropped in about a year.

It seems to have some reliability issues. In just 4 months, my 480gb drive knocked out with very light usage. And from searching through comments online, there are many similar cases. I now recommend the Crucial MX500 to friends, which is clearly superior, more durable with a large DRAM and 5-year warranty. Other quality options are the Adata Ultimate SU800 and Samsung 860 Evo.

I have 3 and 120 and 480. In 3 different motherboards with atto:540 read 495 write. It doesn't crash at all. It doesn't go above 33 degrees temperature. Whoever doesn't know how to set it in the BIOS and is a goat who doesn't know how to install Windows and drivers, should go and herd sheep. The disk simply flies

After 3 weeks (appears as satafirm s11), the controller burned out. Essentially, the disk became a ghost with access to the data but no writing or changes to the data.

I requested an RMA from Patriot Netherlands and they told me to send it directly, even though I accidentally broke the plastic SATA connector pins, but okay, they accepted it. Now I'm waiting to see what happens when it comes back...

The issue is that it couldn't be formatted, so I sent it with my data and didn't calculate the time for setup, etc. that I've wasted.

    I don't know, maybe I'm lucky.

Edit: After a year since the replacement, it seems to be working fine. The shipping had to be paid by me, but the return was free and it came back brand new. If I had to do it again, I would prefer a more expensive but more reliable company. Don't forget your data, they are valuable!

The issue is of course to come back later with reliability indicators and performance degradation over time, but the disk is very fast, completely silent, and after simply doing an automated cloning and replacing the HDD, everything worked fine, a process that even the most unfamiliar with technology can do. It doesn't deliver the speeds it promises, but I didn't do a clean install (format), so I find it logical. • Sudden error within 5 months "Critical process died". It got destroyed (file recovery not possible) and was not recognized by diskpart or disk management, only by the bios as Satafirm S11. I also got a burst for pure OS usage (light usage) which has lasted for 4 years.

  • In exactly 2.5 years, it died.

  • Installation was done on a laptop, even though 3 different cloning programs were used, the result was constant blue screen... it was returned for replacement...
