As these events develop, the true cause of the heinous occurrences begins to emerge, revealing the real purpose that drives the actions of a ruthless criminal gang, which is none other than money, or rather more accurately, gold, and indeed in vast quantities.
The actions of this dangerous gang not only threaten the economic situation of France but also its very position in the Great War, its existence as a state.
