The dictionary by its nature, aiming to inform readers about developments in vocabulary, necessitates continuous enrichment and revision of its content. Thus, in the 3rd edition, the dictionary's content was enriched with 600 new entries and a complete syllabification of all entries was added according to the rules of Grammar. Additionally, in the extensive appendix (which had already been attached since the 2nd edition), a new user-friendly and comprehensive presentation of all inflection tables was adopted, and a detailed chapter on punctuation rules was added.

In the current 4th edition, it was deemed appropriate to enrich the content with another 250 new entries that have entered communication in recent years (mainly from the fields of information technology and the internet, but also from political and economic current events). Also, observations and corrections that had either been gathered during the interval since the previous edition or resulted from the review of specific groups of entries were incorporated.

We believe that with these changes, the "Small Dictionary of Modern Greek Language" fulfills its purpose even better: to be as complete and at the same time as user-friendly a linguistic aid as possible, in a size that allows one to carry it almost anywhere.
