Throughout time, there has been a trend, driven by necessity or vanity, to write "Memoirs". I did not want to give this title to my work, fearing that someone would say that I envied the fame of Winston Churchill or Brigitte Bardot. My own sorrow is different. From a young age, I was afraid of facing the specter of every loss, and the struggle against annihilation was relentless. Nothing should be lost. I remember how, every time I saw an open faucet running, I would immediately rush to turn it off because I was afraid the water would run out. Later, I understood very well that this childhood fear was not unfounded.
