In this volume, I have gathered essays that were first published in daily and periodical press during the last four years (1976 - 1979).

The central theme of the studies included is: the modern human being and his problems. Naturally, these are not exhaustively examined, as the short essay format does not allow for extensive research. What I promise is a brief, enlightening tour through the problematic area and the highlighting of its main difficulties.

Nevertheless, I believe that this book will be useful. It will help the reflective reader to proceed with the exploration of the issues at their own initiative and to form their own opinion.
