Child, man, monk, friar, Elder, Grandfather ... Saint. His names were Arsenios, Averkios, Paisios. He dedicated himself to asceticism and prayer. He served the Almighty with obedience and devotion. With humility and simplicity, with patience and persistence, he acquired all the gifts that made him the beloved Saint of modern man. But he himself also loved God and man completely. He embraced the human soul and comforted it with his words. When we get to know his life more, then perhaps we can truly understand the greatness of his offering.
