For the first time, the important book of Saint Nectarios, "Studying with a Saint," is being published in Modern Greek, which includes the notes of the great saint and teacher on Orthodox Pastoral Care. With this edition, the text becomes more familiar, and we can see in it not only a true image of the Church but also a detailed description of the gifts and duties of its genuine Shepherds, who work with love and selflessness for the salvation of us all. It is truly shocking to realize how high the bar was set by Saint Nectarios for himself, as well as for all the bishops and priests who serve the people of God. In the epilogue of the book, George Barli discusses the foundations for a dialogue regarding the current issue of state laws in relation to Christian ethics.
